DAY 2

COUPLE STAY BY

THE UMIAM LAKE

Blissful stay at the most exclusive resorts in Northeastern India.

Wake up at the crack of the dawn, sip in a cup of coffee/tea, take a shower and leave for the holy shrine of Kamakhya atop the blue Nilachal hills to offer your prayers. Alternatively, you can spend a leisurely morning at your hotel. Check-out from the hotel and take a drive to the 'Land of the clouds', Meghalaya. You will be taken to an exotic resort by the romantic man-made Umiam Lake. The 212 sq.km lake is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent rolling hills of Shillong and one side by the dam. After checking in and freshening up in the luxurious resort, have your lunch in your suit’s balcony overlooking the lake. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure. In the evening, enjoy a romantic walk through the mystic walkways by the lake and enjoy an exotic couple spa session in the resort. Later in the evening enjoy a warm bonfire with barbecue at the resort’s lawn.

DAY 4

SIGHTSEEING IN SHILLONG

Enjoy a day in the Scotland of the East

After breakfast, you will leave for Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya also known as Scotland of the East. Enjoy a round of golf in the Shillong Golf course. Thereafter, enjoy the breathtaking sites of the city of Shillong from the highest viewing point “Shillong Peak”. Take about 100 steps down to the foot of the magnificent Elephant Falls, get your feet drenched in its clear waters. Enjoy a drive uphill to the Laitlum Canyon and get awestruck with the view. On the way back to the city, take a walk besides the Ward Lake and the lady Hydari Park. In the evening enjoy shopping at the local market and collect some memorabilia. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and spend the night in one of the most luxurious accommodation in the city.

DAY 6

STAY IN MAWLYNNONG 

For sheer joy of togertherness

Wake up to the sound of the chirping birds and the gentle breeze flowing through the tall pine trees. Laze around on your bed sipping a hot cup of tea followed by breakfast. Take a drive to Mawlynnong, noted as Asia’s cleanest village and hike to a natural root bridge, one of man’s most ingenious creative work with nature. In the afternoon enjoy a traditional Khasi lunch at village homestay. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the homestay and sit around a warm bonfire and watch a traditional dance by the village artists.

  • All applicable transfers and sightseeing as per the Itinerary.

  • Meal on Modified American Plan (MAP) Basis, with two bottles of packaged drinking water per person per day.

  • Transportation, fuel charges and driver’s charges.

  • Sightseeing entry fees, parking charges, any up gradation charges and toll fees.

 

EXCLUSIONS-

  •  Cost of one meal per day and additional snacks.

  •  Personal expenses, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, porter  tips etc.

  •  Expenses incurred due to mishaps, landslides ,strike,      political unrest etc .In such case, the additional  expenses  would be charged as per actual and shall be  collected directly from the guest.

DAY 1

WELCOME TO THE

PICTURESQUE GUWAHATI

Couple stay in the beautiful city by the Bramhaputra

On arrival at the Guwahati airport, you will be received by our Guest Relationship Executive and escorted to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up, we will take you on a short tour around the city. The tour will culminate with a sunset river cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra. Watch the sun go down as you sip on a tall glass of mocktail and enjoy a candle light dinner with your beloved in a river cruise itself.

DAY 3

LAKESIDE ACTIVITIES

Live an unforgettable day of your lives

Wake up to the sound of chirping birds and whistling pine trees. Have your morning tea and breakfast in your suit’s balcony watching the hills playing hide and seek with the ever moving clouds of Meghalaya. After breakfast, take a motor boat ride, ride a water scooter or enjoy a paddle boat and spend the rest of morning exploring the different islands dotting the lake. Have your lunch served in the most romantic environment possible in a secluded island in the middle of the lake sitting under a canopy. Towards the latter half of the afternoon our tour guide will take you to a Khasi (aboriginal tribe of Maghalaya) village nearby where you may experience a glimpse of the Khasi culture and their simple lifestyle which is in harmony with nature. In the evening before dinner, you may relish a traditional Khasi massage and herbal treatment in the resort spa.

DAY 5

SIGHTSEEING IN CHERRAPUNJEE

Wander to the woods to discover the magical waterfalls & the living root bridges

In the morning, after breakfast, take in the fresh air blowing over the mountains and drive through the clouds for about an hour on the beautiful hilly roads to ‘Cherrapunjee’, which is one of the wettest places on earth. Take in the view of the amazing natural beauty on the way. Enjoy the sites of some of the most awesome waterfalls in India, the Nohkalikai and the Seven Sister Falls. Wander deep into the caves of Mawsmai or visit the Cherrapunji eco-park. Also, get a glimpse of the plains of a neighbouring country. In the evening enjoy a romantic dinner by the bonfire at a resort in Cherrapunjee.

After breakfast drive back to Guwahati airport to catch your flight to your onward destination.
